Aviation training centre BAA Training based in Vilnius, Lithuania, expands capacities for Boeing 737 NG and Airbus A320 type rating trainings by adding trainings in the full-flight simulators (FFS) in Prague, Czech Republic. Capacity expansion is the result of the agreement between BAA Training and CAE, leading provider of simulation and modeling technologies and integrated training solutions for the civil aviation and defense forces.

CAE will relocate a B737NG full-flight simulator to the Czech Airlines (CSA) training centre. CAE also dealt to moderate wet and dry third-party training on two FFSs owned by Czech Airlines – a CAE-built Boeing 737 Classic FFS and an A320 simulator.

„BAA Training gets an increasing number of requests for B737 NG and A320 pilot trainings, so the expanded capabilities will help to meet the booming demand for the trainings on these aircraft types. For example, when the particular simulator is overloaded in Lithuania, we will offer our clients to conduct their training in Prague. Partnership with CAE opens us an access to extensive training resources for our customers, which are of the highest quality on the market”, said Egle Vaitkeviciute, CEO at BAA Training.

“CAE continues to extend its leadership in emerging international and regional airline markets through flexible partnerships and network expansion so customers can have in-region access to advanced training solutions. We are pleased to be adding the strategically located city of Prague to our presence in Eastern Europe to complement training offered in Russia and Lithuania.”, said Jeff Roberts, CAE’s Group President, Civil Simulation Products, Training and Services.

BAA Training B737 NG practical training currently is being provided in Brussels (Belgium), Amsterdam (Netherlands) and London (UK). Airbus A320 FFS has recently been located to BAA Training’s premises in Vilnius. An additional location for trainings on A320 aircraft type is provided in Southampton (United Kingdom).

Boeing 737 NG type rating training includes training for B737 600/700/800/900 aircrafts. The ground training is executed at BAA Training’s headquarter in Vilnius and practical training is carried out at the client’s preferred location.
