Aviation Training Center - BAA TrainingBAA Training, one of the fastest growing aviation training organizations in Europe, has been running a series of events entitled ‘Pilot Talks’ since the beginning of the year. The recent seminar took place at Bartolini Air FTO premises in Lodz, Poland and was held on 22nd of September. The event brought together 16 aviation enthusiasts from Lodz, Warsaw, Krakow, Poznan and other cities. During the event its attendees were introduced to the theoretical pilot career aspects and interacted in 3 workshop sessions.

‘Poland is a very unique European country in terms of pilot training. There are more than 170 FTOs and only a few TRTOs, hence the common knowledge of TRTO training and the career opportunities for pilots with an ATPL license are low. Therefore, the ‘Pilot Talks’ seminar and workshops were focused on pilot career building steps: how to choose the right type and TRTO as well as to prepare a professional CV that would help to land an interview with an airline. I am glad that all attendees were actively engaged during workshops and afterwards when presenting their findings for the audience and building a ground for a joint discussion,’ shared her insights Inga Jankauskaite, Project Manager at BAA Training.

‘All parts were useful, especially the information on how to ‘sell yourself’ by producing a good CV for the airline’, commented Lukasz Banas, the participant of the seminar.

BAA Training will continue producing seminars for pilots – beginners in other European countries. The first seminars were held in Madrid and Barcelona, Spain; Moscow, Russia; Almaty and Astana, Kazakhstan. By 2013 the training centre plans to launch seminars and workshops in Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Portugal and Sweden.
